Jamesy Jenkins discovered her true passion for animals after exploring a variety of career paths. She previously worked as a manager in the service industry and also pursued cosmetology, graduating from Aveda with her cosmetology license. While both careers provided valuable experience, neither fully aligned with her true calling.
That changed when she joined Northshore Humane Society five years ago. Jamesy began her journey with the organization as an adoption counselor and quickly found a deep passion for animal welfare and helping connect pets with loving families. Through her dedication, leadership, and commitment to the mission, she worked her way up and now proudly serves as the Director of Operations.
Outside of work, Jamesy is a devoted mother and an animal lover through and through. She shares her home with two dogs, three cats, and sixteen chickens. Her passion for animals extends far beyond the shelter, and she remains committed to improving the lives of animals and the people who care for them every day.
