Since 1953, Northshore Humane Society has been a place of hope for animals in need. What began as Holly Reynolds’ dream has grown into a mission powered by compassion, connecting thousands of pets with loving families and providing lifesaving care for over 70 years.
But now, the building that has carried our mission for decades is in urgent disrepair. The kennels are outdated and worn from decades of constant use. Cramped workspaces and deteriorating infrastructure challenge our ability to operate efficiently and safely. The current conditions no longer reflect the standard of care we are committed to providing.
That’s why we’re launching a capital campaign to build a new, state-of-the-art facility, a place designed for healing, love, and second chances. Our new campus will include modern kennels, medical suites, indoor play areas, walking trails, a dog park, and a community center for education and connection.

Our new 21,000-square-foot campus will include modern kennels, an indoor play area, and dedicated spaces for medical care, rehabilitation, and adoption. Outdoors, we’ll feature a community dog park, 12 acres of scenic walking trails, and a memorial garden to honor beloved pets. At the heart of it all will be a vibrant community center for camps, educational programs, events, and more.
