We’re excited to kick off the New Year with our first Fine Wines for Canines event, sponsored by Keesler Federal Credit Union!
This special evening will feature a five-course charity dinner and wine tasting, with a specially crafted menu and exquisite wine pairings curated by Chef Pat Gallagher and Uncorked Fine Wines & Spirits, all to benefit the homeless animals in our rescue.
Our shelter will have very limited hours over the Christmas holiday. After our dedicated staff have cared for the dogs and cats, they'll head home to enjoy the warmth and comfort of their own families. Sadly, once they leave, the animals will be alone.
After the rush of Black Friday, Small Business Saturday, and Cyber Monday, it’s time for something even more meaningful—#GivingTuesday. This global day of generosity is all about giving back to the causes that touch our hearts.
On Thursday, December 5th 4PM - 6 PM, our adoptable pups will join St. Tammany Parenting Center for a pet CPR and adoption event!!

Join The Parenting Center to learn knowledge and skills needed for choking and cardiac emergencies that may arise with your family dog or cat. You will have the opportunity to practice these skills on our dog manikins, so please plan accordingly and wear comfortable clothing.
Get into the holiday spirit with our biggest adoption event and party of the year! Join us on Saturday, December 14th from 10 AM to 1 PM at Petsuites in Covington for a day full of fun, festive cheer, and furry friends ready to find their forever homes!

Our shelter has very limited hours Thursday - Sunday of the Thanksgiving holiday. Our Barksgiving Foster Event invites you to temporarily foster a shelter dog or cat and give them the love and comfort they deserve this Thanksgiving.
Tammany Turkey Trot returns to the streets of Downtown Covington on Thanksgiving morning for a 5K and 5 mile run/walk and a 1 mile fun run. We are honored to be the beneficiary for this year with proceeds directly benefitting the homeless animals of Northshore Humane Society!
