Under Dogs Under Construction is an initiative that provides specialized care, attention, and advocacy for our underdogs, ensuring they receive the support they need to thrive and find loving families. By working together as teams, we address the unique needs of each underdog, showcase their potential, and ultimately increase their chances of successful adoption. These adoptable dogs have been at the shelter for far too long and are ready to find their forever homes!!
We encourage you to read each of their stories below and consider making them a forever part of your family. In addition to vaccinations, being spayed/neutered and microchipped, each Under Dog adoption includes a specialized adoption package with extra goodies and supplies making their transition into your home a more smooth and happier experience for all.

Raven is a beautiful, three-year-old large breed mix who was transferred to our rescue as a mom with puppies. She has an already-stunning, blue coat that with some time in a home and out of the shelter environment, we know will become the prettiest and shiniest of silver and white.
Raven is a strong girl inside and out! She is super loyal, loving and wants nothing more than to be by your side. She has been working with our staff a lot on training and knows sit, stay, down, come, place and can even do our agility course! We know she is going to make a great pup to a special family out there.

Caesar is a five-year-old mix breed who was originally transferred to our rescue from a another shelter who was out of space. Before being transferred, Caesar had already spent an entire year in their shelter. He desperately deserves to be in a warm and loving home.
Because he has spent almost his entire life in different shelters, Caesar takes a little bit of time to warm up to new people BUT once he does, he is your absolute best friend! He wants nothing more than to sit next to you for pets and belly rubs.
Caesar is an active guy who would be perfect for someone looking for a walking or running buddy, but also at the age where he can relax and enjoy weekends on the couch. Caesar is a huge goofball when it comes to water. He loves dunking his head in water buckets, hanging in kiddie pools and trying to catch as much as he can from a spraying hose. We promise he'll keep you laughing for hours!!! While we are unsure how he would do with other dogs, Caesar gets along great with kitties too.
