Meet our Jelly Bean!

There's something special about walking alongside the kennels of the St. Tammany Humane Society. For most, the urge to use the restroom just means getting up from your desk and walking down a long, boring hallway. But for employees of the St. Tammany Humane Society, it means so much more. It means looking at each and every adorable face as you pass by. It means taking the time to say hello, approach a kennel and give a nice pat to an animal in need.

While each of us have that one dog or cat who really tugs at our heart, for many of us at the shelter that dog is Hobo Jellybean. Jellybean has the cutest markings, but there’s something else that will melt your heart. JellyBean does the famous head tilt, and she does it EVERY time you pass her kennel. You don't even have to say anything; she just does it. We’re all hoping her perfect adopter is right around the corner about to take that walk we take every day. The only difference, that walk will lead her right into a loving, forever home.

A little more about JellyBean:

JellyBean is a two year old American Bulldog mix who came to us many months ago. Her family of two years was moving and could no longer care for her; a story we hear all too often here at the shelter. Hobo is full of energy and gets along with other dogs and children. She would be perfect for an active family who likes to relax during the evenings and on weekends! If you are interested in Hobo or know anyone who may be, please contact our Adoptions Department at (985) 892-7387 or by email at adoption@northshorehumane.org.
