Help our longest resident find her forever home!

Meet Hannah, a 2 ½ year old Border Collie/Pit Mix looking for a home at the St. Tammany Humane Society. Hannah is the longest resident of our shelter and the only dog to have called the humane society her home since before the floods in August.

Hannah originally came to our shelter with her mom and eight siblings January of 2014. At five months old, Hannah was adopted to a family to call her own. Unfortunately, her high energy didn’t match that of her family’s and after two years in a home, she was returned back to our shelter. Hannah’s dreams of a forever home were shattered.

Luckily, the St. Tammany Humane Society is all about second chances and now we are calling for your help! This sweet girl hasn’t let the experience get her down! She reminds our staff everyday her first family helped her with potty and crate training! Hannah is a friendly dog who loves attention from everyone. Her one requirement, she has to be the only dog in a home. If you are an active person who would love a companion, Hannah is your girl!

If you or someone you know may be interested in Hannah, please call the St. Tammany Humane Society at (985) 892-7387 or email adoption@northshorehumane.org for more information or to adopt Hannah today!

Hannah may not be the girl for you, but you can still help this deserving pup find her forever home by sharing her story today!
