Ink Cartridges: Next time you have an empty 
cartridge, don’t throw it away. The St. Tammany Humane Society will be paid for each cartridge with a print head. Please put your cartridges in a Ziploc or plastic bag before donating.
Undamaged original manufacturer empty cartridges with a print head are qualified for payment. The brands include most Hewlett Packard, Lexmark, Canon, Xerox, IBM, Brother, Pitney Bowes, Cannon, Lexmark, Toshiba, Samsung, Panasonic, Muratec, Okidata, NEC, Ricoh, Dell, and Sharp cartridges. If you cannot tell if your cartridge has a print head or if it is not on this list, donate it anyway. Copier cartridges are eligible for payment as well. Please note that remanufactured or generic cartridges are not eligible.
On average, a person uses 2 cartridges a year; however, you can also get empties from friends, neighbors, and businesses. The potential is huge! PLEASE HELP!
Electronic Devices: The St. Tammany Humane Society will be paid for the following items: All cell phones, Smartphones, iPods, and iPads. If your phone does not have an internal battery, please attach the battery to the phone. Please be sure to remove the SIM card and clear your devices before donating. Please note that all other devices or accessories are not eligible.
Electronics are full of precious metals such as gold, platinum, silver, palladium, and rhodium which can be reclaimed and reused. They are also full of poison which end up in landfills. Help St. Tammany Humane Society while helping save the environment.
All items can be brought to the St. Tammany Humane Society, Southern Hotel (428 E. Boston St., Covington), or Ponga’s Pet Palace (69160 Hwy. 59, Mandeville) and placed in a collection box.
