At first glance, you see an adorable 15-week-old puppy named Pongo. What you don't see is the immense pain this poor little guy is enduring.
Pongo was originally rescued in Texas by one of our regular veterinary clients. A visit with our veterinarians revealed Pongo’s elbow was fractured and could only be fixed through specialty surgery. Unfortunately, the family could not afford the surgery, giving us two options: amputate the leg or take Pongo into our care and raise the necessary funds for his surgery. We chose the second option. Because if his age, Pongo is a great candidate for the surgery and should heal and recover quickly.
With your help we can save this little guy’s leg and give him the long, healthy life he deserves. The approximate cost for the surgery is $2,500 and through the generosity of a few folks already, we have raised $175.
