After the floods: Albany, Thomas and Klunk still searching for forever!

ALBANY

Albany was part of the first group of "Flood Dogs" rescued from Tangi Humane Society, a no-kill shelter in the Hammond area completely submerged in the water. Since that time, he was treated for heartworm disease, neutered and updated on his vaccinations. Albany is a three-year-old large breed mix. This 80+ lb male is still full of puppy energy and the perfect age for training. Albany is treat motivated, loves his yard time and playing in our kiddie pools. He would be the perfect companion for a ruff and tuff guy who can handle his tenacity, power and the amount of love he will give!

THOMAS

Thomas, his six siblings, and his mom were all rescued during the floods August of 2016. After nearly one year in a home, Thomas came back to our rescue suffering from a terrible skin infection and 10 lbs. underweight! Thanks to our veterinary staff and a good balanced diet, Thomas is now healthy and his coat looks amazing. All that is missing is his forever home! At only one year of age, Thomas has been through so much already!

KLUNK

Klunk was one of the last groups of pups rescued from the floods. He, along with his sister, were transported to our rescue from Iberia Parish Animal Control. Klunk a one-year-old large breed mix. He is a very sweet pup with a healthy energy level. He loves to play and would make great running partner! He has the most gorgeous yellow eyes and a smile. They are bound to catch someone's attention. Will it be you?

A loving home with a comfy couch and a yard to play in is long overdue for all three of these guys!! Please help us share their stories and find them what they have deserved - forever homes! All of these guys are up-to-date on shots, neutered and microchipped. Because of our partnership with Best Friends Animal Society, the adoption fee for each of these guys is just $20. If you are interested in adding any of these guys to your home, please fill out an adoption application HERE.
