Foster Highlight: Doge - A Cute Pup with a Very Unique Story!

Doge was a very unique case, one you just don't see too often. Doge came into our rescue with an infection caused by his testicles tightly wrapped in rubber bands. This practice is often used in the castration of livestock, but is never suggested for a dog! Needless to say Doge needed our help and he needed it fast!

Doge received immediate veterinary care at our community clinic. After surgery he was ready for a temporary foster home where he could recover comfortably. STHS Foster Mom, Kelly Schumacher, stepped up to the plate and Doge is now relaxing in Kelly's home where he has already made best friends with her son. She promises he is receiving all the love and attention he needs! Kelly says Doge is a very sweet pup who is housebroken and loves to cuddle. He gets along with other dogs, cats and loves people. Doge is a one-year-old mix and still full of puppy love!

He will be available for adoption soon and will make a wonderful member of any family. If you are interested in adopting this cutie, please fill out an application HERE. If you have any questions, contact our Adoption Team by emailing adoption@northshorehumane.org
