Albany's Adventure to find forever!

Over one year ago, Albany, along with 21 other pups, was rescued when Tangi Humane Society, a no-kill shelter in the Hammond area, was completely submerged in the LA floods of 2016. Since that time, Albany was treated for heartworm disease and has watched each of his fellow displaced friends find their forever families. While he is so happy for all 21 of them, he often wonders why no one has picked him yet. Unfortunately, only one man has ever shown a true interest in Albany. Like many other large breed mixes in shelters across the United States, day-after-day people have looked at him and continued walking.

Luckily for Albany, Ms. Paige Fouquet with Off Leash K9 Training contacted us about providing services to an animal we felt needed it the most. Because of his tenacious personality, his huge heart and his desire to learn, we knew Albany was the perfect pup! With a little work Albany is going to make a great companion to someone out there!

Join us today live at 1:00 pm to see the initial meet and greet of Albany and his new trainer, Paige, and wish him good luck on his two week journey. Please follow along as we share Albany's Adventure to Find Forever! We will be posting his training progress every few days and give you updates on his search to find forever.

Please share Albany's story and help us find our longest resident a warm couch to lay on and a family to call his own!
